In the early stages of the formulation of this draft budget Council undertook an online community engagement program during November 2020 whereby we asked our community "What initiatives you think Council should consider for inclusion in the City of Stonnington’s Budget for 2021/22?" We received many innovative ideas. The commitments outlined in the budget are in response to the feedback gathered, and an analysis of relevant trends.

The City of Stonnington’s Draft 2021/22 Budget has now been developed and the community is invited to provide feedback.

Budget highlights, comparisons to other councils, an explanation on how a surplus funds our capital works program and financial support still available following COVID-19 is available here.

Written submissions are invited until 5pm Thursday 20 May 2021 and will be heard at a Committee meeting on Monday 7 June 2021 at 7pm at the Malvern Banquet Hall (subject to COVID-19 public health restrictions and practices). The final Budget will be considered by Council for adoption on Monday 21 June 2021.

The document can be viewed here or collected from Council’s Service Centre or Libraries subject to COVID-19 service availability, operating hours and public health practices during this time.
